Edward M. Jamison serves as Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Community Bancorp and Chairman of Community Bank of Nevada and Community Bank of Arizona. Prior to his position with the bank, he was the President, Chief Executive Officer and a founder of Nevada Community Bank. Mr. Jamison is extremely active in many civic and industry organizations.
Mr. Aman began his business career with U-Haul Truck and Trailer Rentals, serving as President and CEO of U-Haul Corporation of Wisconsin. After developing a marketing and service company for U-Haul covering Wisconsin and Upper Michigan, he moved to Arizona to oversee the National service centers for U-Haul. In 1975, Mr. Aman left U-Haul to begin his own laundry service business. Mr. Aman has established himself and his business to be one of the most successful in the industry. Mr. Aman continues to operate his laundry service business specializing in sales, service, design and installation of laundry systems from commercial and industrial users in the Phoenix area in addition to owning several commercial properties. Mr. Aman attended Phoenix Community College where he studied Accounting, Marketing and Business Management.
Ms. Appeldorn-March began her insurance career in 1971 with Prudential Insurance in Minneapolis, Minnesota. After gaining years of experience at the national level, in 1985, Ms. Appeldorn-March opened her own Third Party Administrator (TPA), Administrative Enterprises, Inc. (AEI), in Phoenix, Arizona. AEI, a highly respected TPA in the state of Arizona, manages healthcare benefits for over 140 school districts, cities, counties and private employers who elect to self-fund their medical benefits. Ms. Appeldorn-March attended Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan where she studied Business Administration.
Mr. Murphy has a diverse business background with a rich history of entrepreneurialism. Through Murphy Broadcasting Radio Stations, he currently owns seven FM broadcast outlets in Arizona, a fitness center and an e-mail news service. Mr. Murphy ran for U.S. Congress in District 2 in 2004. He is extremely active in the community, and is strongly dedicated toward charitable causes. Mr. Murphy co-founded the United Way in Mohave County and the local Silent Witness program. Mr. Murphy is a 10-year member of the Board of Directors for the Make A Wish Foundation and a lifetime member of both the Lake Havasu City Chamber of Commerce and the Laughlin (Nevada) Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Murphy attended San Bernardino Valley College and San Diego State University in California, as well as Thunderbird School of Global Management in Glendale, Arizona.
Mr. Whitaker began practicing law in 1987 in Phoenix with the Boston based law firm Gaston & Snow. Mr. Whitaker has been a Partner with the Phoenix based law firm Stegall, Katz & Whitaker since 1995. Mr. Whitaker has substantial litigation and arbitration experience in real estate and commercial lease disputes, shareholder and partnership disputes, civil fraud, commercial tort claims, contract disputes, professional malpractice, and employment. Mr. Whitaker received his law degree from the University of California, San Francisco, Hastings College of Law. Mr. Whitaker is a member of the American Bar Association, the Arizona Bar Association, the Maricopa County Bar Association and the Federal Bar Association.
Stephen R. Curley serves as Director and President for Community Bank of Arizona. Mr. Curley has 15 years of experience in financial services, the last five of them in the metro-Phoenix area. Mr. Curley oversees all aspects of bank's operations, including loan production and deposit gathering efforts. Mr. Curley was most recently with 1st National Bank of Arizona, where he helped implement key strategies for growing their regional and business banking franchises. Mr. Curley brings experience in diverse areas of financial services in prominent East Coast cities, including Boston and New York. He earned his MBA from The Tuck School at Dartmouth in Hanover, New Hampshire, and his BA from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut.
Jim E. Nelson serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Credit Officer. His prior experience includes; Corporate Lending Manager and Home Building Division Manager with more than 25 years of banking experience with both large multi-state Banks and Community Banks in the Phoenix, Arizona banking industry.
Ms. Gimbel has served as Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Technology Officer since the bank opened in November 2003. Ms. Gimbel has more than 20 years banking experience. Prior to her position with Community Bank of Arizona, Ms. Gimbel spent 8 years with Meridian Bank, formerly Community Bank of Arizona, where she served as operations officer, assistant cashier, chief financial officer and cashier, and, most recently, senior vice president of operations/chief financial officer.
